Eastern Deaf Sports held their annual lawn bowls at Great Yarmouth on Sunday 16th August 2015. Southend Deaf bowlers did well in their matches. Photographs in next page.

Jim Gill, Valerie Temple, Terry and Chrissie Greenwald travelled to Basingstoke to play in 2 x triples competitions against Gloucestershire, Home Counties, Thames Valley and South Down. East team would like to appreciated their grateful for loaned 2 players who have supported them with bowling matches. They were Alexandra Shinn and Steven Smith. Congratulations to the Home Counties team on winning the trophy. At one point East was at third place but after their last match, they moved to fourth place.

Congratulations to Mike Webster as a runner up triples team with Charles Rushton and Graham Duff when they played in John Philpott Trophy at Bristol last Saturday. Well done boys!
Triangle Challenge Round 2 was held at New Addington BC in Croydon on 21st June and the very same bowlers from the previous first round played but both team lost after bravely fought from the start. East team will need to win both matches in the next round which will be held at Southend's Prittlewell Bowls Club in August.

John Ray, Mike Webster, Jill Gill, Alan Peek, Terry and Chrissie Greenwald played at Eastbourne for the Triangle Challenge Round 1 and equalled points with other two regions but will need to win with advancing shots to stay around the top in next 2 games. The next game will be at Croydon on 21 June. If you are available to play for East team please contact Mike Webster as soon as possible as we need players.

Huge congratulations to East Deaf Bowls on their greatest achievement last weekend. They were second with 10 points in Basingstoke Trophy with Southdown as a winner team. A total of 5 regions enter indoor regional challenge. Nick Stovell, Mike Webster, Terry Greenwald, Martin Wheal, Chrissie Greenwald and Jim Gill played for East Deaf team with no spare player and they has to played all four matches. Well done!
