Chrissie was presented with a Hot Shot certificate and badge when her Fours team achieved 8 shots one end at Clacton and District Indoors Bowls Club last month. This can be confirmed in December or January issue of International Bowls magazine.
September 2014 News
Well done to Steve Braybrook, a runner up in Mens Handicaps and 2 woods Singles at Prittlewell Bowls Club Finals this summer.
Chrissie Greenwald played against a third year champion in Ladies Singles Finals at Thorpe le Soken BC but lost. Good news though Chrissie won Jubilee Triples 2014 and runner up Fixed Jack Triples 2014 at Thorpe le Soken with her ladies team. Chrissie also won Fours Tendring Hundred League Ladies Finals Day at Happy Valley BC. Photograph will appear in November after the presentation.
If you have International Bowls magazine (June issue) you will find Jim Gill in the Hot Shots Club (page 56) where he achieved 9 shots in one end with his teammate from White Oaks IBC in Kent. Jim said he felt like on top of the world!

Hearty congratulations to Southdown team for winning the Triangle Trophy for second year running after they played against Home Counties and East teams at Prittlewell BC, Southend on Sea on Sunday 3 August 2014. We were fortunate to have dried weather on the day. Thank you to everyone for swearing or bad behaviours on the day. Mike Webster as an inspector was able to raise £25 in aid of Deaf Bowls England fund. East team A for Round 3 were Terry Greenwald, Raymond Nightingill and Raymond Smith lost to Southdown A. East team B Steve Braybrook, Chrissie Greenwald and Jim Gill won against Home Counties B. No team photograph was took on the day :O(
Big congratulations to Jim Gill as our first Veteran Singles Winner 2014 when he beaten Ray Lee in the final at Worthing Pavilion BC on Saturday 26th July 2014. Jim won three times before when he was with a different club. Our East Fours (Raymond Nightingill, Mike Webster, Chrissie Greenwald and Terry Greenwald) lost their game against Southdown by 1 shot on Day 1 and on the Sunday, our East A team (Chrissie Greenwald, Steve Braybrook and Jim Gill) lost their triples game by 1 SHOT again against Southdown! East B team (Raymond Nightingill, Mike Webster and Terry Greenwald) lost to Southdown by 3 shots. Steve Braybrook entered in Mens Singles but was knocked out by Guy Shinn after 2nd round.
Congratulations to Steve Braybrook as EDS Lawn Bowls Mens Singles Winner and to Chrissie Greenwald for Second Place in Ladies Singles tournament. Chrissie Greenwald also won Second Place in Mixed Pairs Final with Terry Greenwald.
Seasiders team entered DBE's John Philpotts Trophy triples at New Addington, Croydon on 14 June 2014 and won in final against Bridyate.
